It’s been a while in the coming, but new toys are out for HisReach and we want to talk about them with you so you know! Rest your eyes, this is going to be a good one…

*Contest Update*

What an awesome segway…We have our HisReach Shop open for you all to purchase your HisReach shirts. Shirts come in S, M, L, and XL. Let everyone know that HisReach Reached You!

*Groups*
We have introduced groups on HisReach and we are pretty excited about seeing what you guys are interested in creating. You can create groups for ‘Common Interest’, ‘Organizations’, or ‘Random’ OR create a group associated with your church (like the High School, College, Women, and Men’s ministries). Our plan is for you to use these to help connect with other Christians (even the ones at your church). More fun features to come with that, but search for a group now or start one of your own!

*Photo Album*
We have redone the photo album. Now your main profile picture is in your album and you can easily switch between album pics as well has have other users comment on your profile pic. Two pretty cool improvements! Fill up your album now or try the new features on the ‘edit album’ page.

*User Preview*
“I don’t have any idea who that is?!?”. Sound familiar? Now you can fill out a preview of yourself from the Edit ‘About Me’ page. All users in the network will be able to see your preview, but will help to give them a clue as to who you are. If you are just looking to meet people, put that there. If you are new to HisReach, put that there. Just remember that it is public information…

*Sign Up for HisReach*
We have revised how we are doing signups for HisReach. We still definitely encourage you to email invites to all of your friends as well as share group codes, if you have one. However, now users can sign up for HisReach from our ‘New Accounts Page’ without an invite code. Users that sign up through the site (without an invite) are put into a queue where we will periodically send out invites for them to sign up. So now, if you are telling a friend about HisReach, just tell them to check it out if you can’t get their email address. We want to use this method as a way to encourage everyone that hears about HisReach to join our community, but still maintain an organized and safe community.

*Weekly Top Referrers*
We want to thank you for using HisReach buttons on your websites, blogs, and MySpaces. You are all helping us to get the word out about HisReach and it’s really exciting. Every night we update the ‘top referrers’ to HisReach on our main page as a small way of thanking you for helping us out. It’s super easy to add a button to your site, the code that you need is available on our Promotion Page. Just place the button on your site and wait for your site to show up on the Top 5.

*If You Made It This Far*
We have increased the photo album maximum to 12 pictures. Some of our more OCD friends were really upset that the last row wasn’t even…and we can’t have upset members…so now you can get up to 12 slots. As part of moving the profile pictures into the album, we already gave away one…but what fun is one slot! Log in to HisReach any time on Friday (11/10/2006) from 12:00:00AM PST to 11:59:59PM PST…and two FREE slots are yours. It doesn’t get easier than that…I mean seriously… The maximum is still 12 slots, so if you already have 11, you’ll only get one…and if you have 12…well….thanks for inviting so many friends!! Your free slots will show up after midnight on Friday. Just a little incentive for reading this far down the blog…

Patience hasn’t always been my thing at times. Often I expect God to do things in my life before it’s time…but in this circumstance I am allowed to be impatient. We are bumping the required out-of-California invites to 5 for your free tshirt…yes, only 5. Rules are the same as before…

Invite 5 people from outside California and get them to sign up. If you are one of the first 5 to get it done, a free HisReach Tshirt is yours…for free…no really…totally free. You better get on it though…there are some people getting pretty close to their 5 signups. We will have some pictures of the shirts for you soon…stay tuned for that. Last week I put in an order for some sweet HisReach t-shirts and I thought…we should give some away. I know…great idea huh?? So in the spirit of competition, we are announcing HisReach Contest #1 *Sound the gong*.

The Details:
HisReach has been live for 6 months and we are quickly approaching our 1000 member mark. In looking at some statistics, we noticed that nearly 700 of you are from California. I suppose that’s fairly natural since we are located in California, but we want that to change! So what does that mean for you? It means that we need you to help spread the word about HisReach…and it comes with rewards! Starting now, the first 5 members to invite (and get signups) for 10 new people located OUTSIDE of California will receive one t-shirt each. There is no end date for this competition, it’s first to hit 10 active invites. “Oh, that’s not fair for those of us in California”, you say, and for you, I have two solutions.

• Think hard about people you might have met at camp, friends from college, family relatives. Try our Address Book Import Tool to make your life a little easier.
• Still stuck? HisReach t-shirts will be available in future contests as well as for sale within the next few weeks.

The contest starts now and who knows how long it will last, so get to inviting! Need more email invites? Tomorrow is another day :)

The Quick And Easy: (for people that don’t read. For example, myself)

• Invite all your friends (especially those outside of California)

So the big day is almost here! HisReach Launch Concert is hitting the Cornerstone Event Center (map) this Friday, Sept 15! There seems to be some confusion on pictures for the photo album so I wanted to clear it up for everyone. Pictures are totally free to post and you can have up to 10 on your profile. You will start out when you sign up with only your main profile picture. We want people to see who you are, so post that picture ASAP.

To get your photo album pictures, all you have to do is send out your invites. Every person that you invite that signs up for a HisReach account gets you one more picture in your album. We have seen that some of you aren’t using your photo album pictures, so go check it out now. If you are having any issues at all, please let us know in the suggestion box. The more details, the better. We are working out a few kinks with the album, so your help will only make it better faster.
