You may notice a few things different to the site….First is no more advertisements…

We were really bothered by a lot of what Google was chosing to put on HisReach, so we have removed their ads indefinitely. Sorry to anyone else that was bothered by them and we assure you that advertisement in the future will hold the same level of integrity as does HisReach.

Secondly, we have added email notifications. Many people were requesting to know when users were trying to contact them through HisReach. We have added email notifications for new message board posts, new mail messages, new friend requests, and for general HisReach updates. What’s that? You don’t like email? Have no fear…You can easily stop receiving emails by using the Change Preferences page.

Lastly, we know that some people like the openness of MySpace where users are able to see everyone or some limited subset of people. HisReach is different in this way because we want to encourage users to “friend” people who are truly friends. By limiting user’s visibility to only their confirmed friends, HisReach is able to better maintain a secure and tighter network of users. That being said, we want you to be able to find your friends. We are working towards new ways to find your friends within HisReach. In the meantime, use the search tool to find people in your area. Not sure if you know a user?
